Oscar movie marathon will show in Woodinville

Talk about a deal: Let’s see here, five Oscar-nominated movies for $30 comes to just $6 a flick — cheaper than most matinees.
Tickets are now on sale for the AMC Best Picture Showcase, a marathon viewing of this year’s nominees. Loews Woodinville 12 will host the event on Feb. 21, one day before the 81st Academy Awards.
The $30 ticket, discounted to $25 for MovieWatcher members, includes a large popcorn with unlimited refills.
The best picture nominees are expected to show in this order: “Milk,” “The Reader,” “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Slumdog Millionaire,” “Frost/Nixon.”
The first film is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. The five films have a combined running time of 11 hours.
Doors at the theater open at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 21. Ticketholders can come and go throughout the day.
