It’s that time of year to roam to Camano Island for “The Roaming Artists Art Show.”
This show features original art such as watercolors, acrylics and oil paintings by artists who paint in a plein air fashion at different locations during the summer.
A watercolor painting by Beverly Paulson will be raffled at the end of the event.
The show honors Hallie Price for her work promoting the arts, as a board member of the Stanwood Camano Arts Guild and a Roaming Artist and for her work with the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation, according to information about the show.
“The Roaming Artists Art Show” runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Camano Multi-Purpose Building, 141 NE Camano Drive, Camano Island.
Get woody on Whidbey: The Woodworkers Guild presents the seventh annual “Woodpalooza” exhibit that showcases works by 17 guild members.
The Whidbey Island Woodworkers Guild, formed in 2001, includes woodworkers of furniture, cabinets, architectural pieces, clocks, musical instruments and boats, according to information about the exhibit.
“Woodpalooza” begins with a free reception from 6 to 9 tonight at Bayview Corner Open Door Community Gallery, 5603 S. Bayview Road, Langley. The exhibit is on view through Sept. 12.
Also on Whidbey: Take in the work of painter Michel Tsouris, whose show, “this is where i live,” opens with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Brackenwood Gallery, 302 First St., Langley.
Tsouris has an eclectic style that encompasses encaustics, photographic transfers of collaged paintings onto aluminum or copper and works that incorporate tar, wax and pigments, according to information about the show.
The show is up through Sept. 27.
Still more on Whidbey: Anne Belov will show her oil paintings and monoprints and Joan Govedare will display her new raku vessels under the theme, “Letters From a Potter,” in a two-woman show at Greenbank Farm.
The show kicks off with an opening reception from 5 to 8 tonight at the Rob Schouten Gallery, 765 Wonn Road, Greenbank.
Trio Nouveau will play jazz at the reception and refreshments will be served.
Belov’s landscapes and still lifes are known for their use of light, structure and color.
Govedare’s series has 26 pots – one for each letter of the alphabet.
The exhibit is up through Sept. 29.
The Patty Forte Linna exhibit features paintings of people alone in their thoughts, even in a crowd, and urban landscapes.
The Patty Forte Linna Exhibit is at the City of Mountlake Terrace Library, 23300 58th Ave. W., Mountlake Terrace. The show runs through Sept. 30.
