This week’s song of the week is “Wait For Me” by Seattle/Tacoma band Motopony. Last summer I kept hearing about Motopony from friends who insisted they were going to be the next big thing out of Seattle. Everybody in Seattle says that about whatever band they saw perform most recently so it took me a little while to catch on, but I think those friends might be right.
These guys are awesome.
They are on tour right now working their way to down to Austin, Texas, to perform at SXSW. BestNewBands.com just put Motopony on their “Top 5 Can’t Miss New Bands” that will be at the festival this year and I think it’s pretty easy to see why.
