Dr. Vince Montes came to study at the University of Washington in 2009 and loved it here so much he decided to call Snohomish County home. He’s raised his kids here and firmly put down roots.
Hailing from the dry desert in the southwestern United States didn’t jive well with Dr. Montes’ passion for boating and being on the water. But the Pacific Northwest, with its abundance of water, “is a dream come true,” he says.
It’s this love for his community that drives Dr. Montes’ work, too. “The most rewarding thing is to help people in the community I love.”
Exceptional care
After spending time as a researcher in his field at the university, and continuing to teach there, Dr. Montes’ entered private practice in 2015. After five initial years as a hospital physician he now chooses to practice independently to provide patients with more resources and exceptional care.
He has devoted his career to caring for his patients in his field of speciality, endocrine and metabolic disorders, and especially diabetes, at Western Washington Medical Group.
