EVERETT — The Economic Alliance Snohomish County has moved its offices to downtown Everett in an effort to be in a more central, convenient location for its business attraction and retention efforts, said president and CEO Ray Stephanson.

The alliance made the move in early December from its former office in an unincorporated area of Snohomish County between Everett and Mukilteo, Stephanson said.

“The advantage of the move is being close to the business center,” he said. “The area we had rented in was fairly remote.”

Stephanson said the new location is in the Snohomish County Health District Building at 3020 Rucker Ave.

He said the economic alliance was also able to save money by moving. The new rent is $5,000 a month compared to $10,000 a month in the previous location, he said.

Stephanson said his group has a budget of $1 million a year. He said $250,000 comes from the state of Washington, and the rest comes from membership fees and contributions from businesses.
