ARLINGTON — A man was shot in the stomach northeast of Arlington Thursday morning, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting took place around 9 a.m. on 294th Street NE, near Highway 530. The 29-year-old man was transported with what was considered a serious injury to Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington. He was expected to survive.
A 49-year-old suspect reportedly fled the scene in a vehicle. Sheriff’s deputies were still looking for him Thursday.
Deputies believe the suspect and the man who was shot know each other, said sheriff’s spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe. According to witness statements, an argument preceded the shooting.
