STANWOOD — A 35-year-old Arlington man suffered serious injuries after crashing his motorcycle on I-5 in north Snohomish County, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The man was travelling north on I-5 near Stanwood when he drove into the median. He continued through before striking the southbound cable barrier. The Harley Davidson FLHRC stopped in the median, but the driver was ejected, troopers said. He ended up on the shoulder of the southbound lanes.
The Arlington man was originally supposed to be taken to the hospital in an airlift, but that was cancelled and he was transported to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, trooper Rocky Oliphant said.
Troopers suspected alcohol was a factor in the crash.
