TOPPENISH — Police in Toppenish say a 15-year-old boy shot in the head after an exchange of gang taunts has died at a Seattle hospital.
Jose Rodriguez of Buena was shot Wednesday evening in a quiet neighborhood. He died at Harborview Medical Center.
Police said shots were fired after Rodriguez and two other boys roughly his age exchanged gang taunts with four males dressed in red in a pickup. Officers said the boys ran and three of the males from the pickup chased them on foot.
Police found Rodriguez lying on the ground.
