EVERETT — A two-vehicle crash on Evergreen Way caused life-threatening injuries and closed the southbound lanes around 5:45 a.m. Monday.
A man driving north in a Honda Accord on Evergreen Way was trying to take a left turn into the Walmart parking lot, Everett police officer Kerby Duncan said. He crashed head-on with a southbound Chevy pickup.
The Honda driver, in his 50s, was taken to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett with life-threatening injuries, Duncan said. There were no signs of impairment and the Chevy driver, in his 30s, was cooperative with investigators.
Around 10 a.m., Everett police announced the road was back open.
