EVERETT — An Everett man killed in an altercation south of Everett on Sunday morning has been identified.
Around 1:30 a.m. Snohomish County sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a large fight with shots fired in the 600 block of 128th Street SW. Deputies found Damien Navarro, 31, dead.
A witness sent an 80-second video to The Daily Herald purportedly showing the altercation. It shows several people fighting in the parking lot of 128th Billiards and many others trying to break up the altercation. Four gunshots can be heard on the video, followed by yelling and people running away.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Tuesday that Navarro died from a gunshot wound.
Detectives continued to investigate the case as a homicide Tuesday, sheriff’s spokesperson Courtney O’Keefe said. They seek the public’s help with videos, pictures and other information to better understand what happened Sunday.
