EVERETT — Interested in becoming an apprentice?
The Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center will hold a free Career and Job Fair that features a lineup of 30 apprenticeship programs in Snohomish, Whatcom, Skagit and King and Pierce counties.
The event will be held 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Sno-Isle Tech Skills Center, 9001 Airport Road, Everett.
Representatives from the construction, aerospace, transportation, health care and other industries will be on hand to answer questions and offer program information.
An apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with classroom instruction, typically under the supervision of a journeyman-level professional. Apprentices get paid while learning new skills, event organizers said.
“Whether you are actively seeking a new career path or simply curious about the apprenticeship model of learning, this fair is an exceptional opportunity to explore your options. There is something for everyone,” according to organizers.
Workforce Snohomish and WorkSource Snohomish County, which offer a suite of free job and career-related services, including help with educational and training opportunities, will also attend.
The event includes free barbecue.

There are more than 190 registered apprenticeships in the state, covering some 200 occupations. To view the list, go to: tinyurl.com/53z8jxu6
