Meet a test pilot
Boeing test pilot Capt. Suzanna Darcy-Hennemann plans to give a talk on Wednesday at the Future of Flight Aviation Center in Mukilteo called “Living on the Leading Edge — Adventures of Being the First in Fabulous Flying Jobs”
Darcy-Hennemann is responsible for flight training operations in 20 campuses globally. She was named chief pilot for the 777 program in January 2007.
The talk is free from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the aviation center at 8415 Paine Field Blvd. A special “Meet the Speaker” reception will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. before her presentation. It costs $15 per person and includes refreshments.
People must pay and register for the “Meet the Speaker” reception by today. The reservation form can be found at www.futureofflightfoundation.org under the events tab. People can also RSVP by emailing kendall@futureofflight.org or calling 435-438-8100, ext. 230. It is not necessary to RSVP for the free portion of the talk.

A new exhibit featuring vintage skis, sleds, ice skates and historic photographs is set to open Wednesday at Edmonds Historical Museum. It is expected to run through Jan. 27.
The exhibit called “Winters of Yesteryear” will focus on how locals have played in the snow, dressed in and competed in it from the Big Snow of 1916 to today.
The museum at 118 Fifth Ave. N. in downtown Edmonds is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. during Third Thursday Art Walks in November and December. Suggested donation is $5 per adult and $2 per child. For more information, go to historicedmonds.org.
