EVERETT — A toddler girl killed in a car crash Friday near Silver Lake had fallen out of a moving vehicle, then was struck by another car, Everett police said Saturday.
The girl, 2, suffered the critical injuries around 4:30 p.m. Friday on 19th Avenue SE, south of the intersection with 112th Street SE. She died at the scene.
An investigation into how she fell out of the southbound vehicle was ongoing Saturday, Everett police officer Kerby Duncan said.
The driver of the other vehicle that struck the girl was not under criminal investigation, Duncan said.
Police shut down 19th Avenue for hours for an investigation.
