Girl sexually assaulted in Edmonds market; police seek info

The 9-year-old girl was assaulted by a stranger, described as a white man in his 50s or 60s.

EDMONDS — Police are looking for a man suspected of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl in a busy supermarket Saturday afternoon.

The girl was assaulted around 4 p.m. at the Ranch 99 market, the Edmonds Police Department said.

The suspect was described as a white man in his 50s or 60s, possibly with a goatee. He was reportedly wearing a bright blue T-shirt and dark shorts, based on a still image from surveillance video.
