Hansen takes a strong lead

EVERETT — The headline on mayoral candidate David Sherman’s last press release Tuesday was that he had closed the gap in the race against incumbent Ed Hansen.

But according to early results Tuesday, Sherman might not have narrowed that gap enough as Hansen led Sherman handily.
