Deputies: Motorcyclist, 19, dies after crashing into fence near Bothell

EVERETT — A motorcyclist died Thursday morning after colliding with a fence and utility box near Bothell, police said.
Around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a crash in the 16500 block of 35th Avenue Southeast.
The 19-year-old motorcycle rider was traveling north on 35th Avenue Southeast when deputies believe the male rider failed to negotiate a curve, lost control and left the roadway, a press release said.
Emergency responders pronounced the driver dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
The crash is under investigation by detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
