Naval Station Everett to perform drills Tuesday

EVERETT — Those nearby may hear noise Tuesday coming from Naval Station Everett.

A security exercise is scheduled between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., when there may be an increased number of emergency vehicles, sounds of blank gunshots and loudspeaker announcements. The main gate may be closed at times.

These kinds of drills happen regularly at the base, to improve security and response in case of a real emergency.
