Olympia woman dies of injuries from attack

OLYMPIA — A 76-year-old woman who was attacked Friday at Olympia housing for the elderly and disabled died Sunday at a hospital from her injuries.

She was identified by the Thurston County coroner as Chasu White.

Police said she was attacked by a 45-year-old woman who was at the Casa Madrona Apartments while undergoing a mental evaluation.

A witness told The Olympian a nude woman hit the victim over the head with a chair and punched her on the ground, unprovoked.
