MUKILTEO — A 72-year-old man suffered multiple broken bones when he was hit while crossing the street in Mukilteo Wednesday evening.
The accident was reported around 5:40 p.m. in the 12000 block of Highway 525, Mukilteo Police Officer Colt Davis said.
Northbound traffic was stopped at the intersection of Harbour Pointe Boulevard SW and Highway 525 when the man decided to walk across the street to the west side of the highway, Davis said. He was about 75 feet south of a marked crosswalk.
A driver in one of the two left-turn lanes stopped and honked. A second driver, 28, did not see the man, Davis said. Her car struck him. She was cooperative with police.
The man’s injuries weren’t considered life threatening, Davis said.
The case is under investigation.
