ARLINGTON — A 64-year-old man has died after a driver struck him and fled Tuesday night on Highway 531, according to police.
Around 8 p.m., the man was found with life-threatening injuries in the 4800 block of 172nd Street NE, which is also a stretch of Highway 531, according to Arlington police. He was taken to Providence Regional Medical Everett where he later died. Based on his injuries, police believe the man’s death was the result of a hit and run.
The road was closed for hours as police investigated.
As of Wednesday morning, there were no suspects in custody, according to police. Authorities continued to investigate.
