EVERETT — A man was shot in south Everett Thursday while he was running away, according to information released Friday. The gunfire reportedly came from a vehicle that sped off.
An argument broke out in the parking lot of Value Village in the 6200 block of Evergreen Way, Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. Police do not know whether the injured man, 29, was involved in the argument.
He started running toward the store when someone in a vehicle fired a gun, Snell said.
The vehicle was gone when officers arrived. A group of people also had taken the injured man, who suffered multiple gunshot wounds, to the hospital, Snell said.
Details about possible suspects and the vehicle were not available. The investigation is ongoing.
