Police block roads in south Everett in search for suspect

Officers were trying to arrest a suspect near Everett Mall Way and Third Avenue Southeast.

EVERETT — Police blocked roads Wednesday afternoon in south Everett as officers tried to apprehend a suspect.

Streets near Everett Mall Way and Third Avenue Southeast were closed to the public around 2:30 p.m.

Police radio traffic suggested officers were trying to arrest a man wanted in a Marysville shooting and that he was considered armed and dangerous.

However, an Everett Police Department spokesperson could not confirm that as of 3 p.m.
