Police searching for armed robbery suspect in Mukilteo

MUKILTEO — A suspect is being sought by police for an alleged armed robbery Tuesday morning.

The male suspect reportedly had a semi-automatic handgun when he mugged two women walking on 53rd Avenue W. He was seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, blue sweatpants and sunglasses, the Mukilteo Police Department said, and was described as white and 5-feet, 9-inches tall.

Police were searching in the wooded residential area of 92nd Street SW and 53rd Avenue W, which is west of Highway 525, also called the Mukilteo Speedway.
