Power lines trap school bus; kids escorted off

HOCKINSON — A fire official says a brief windstorm left a school bus trapped between two downed power lines Monday afternoon in the Clark County community of Hockinson.

Battalion Chief Jeff Stewart said fire crews and school personnel safely escorted the 25 Hockinson Primary School students off the bus and put them on another bus for the trip home.

No injuries were reported.

Stewart said the windstorm was brief but powerful.
