Road reopens after motorcyclist killed in deadly hit-and-run on Highway 99

EVERETT — A deadly hit-and-run crash closed the southbound lanes of Highway 99 in Lynnwood for nearly five hours on Thursday morning.
Troopers said a motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a semi-truck just after 4:30 a.m. near Lincoln Way, according to Washington State Highway Patrol spokesperson Kelsey Harding.
Highway patrol reopened the road around 9:30 a.m. after closing all southbound lanes at Highway 525 shortly after the crash, updates from the Washington State Department of Transportation said.
Witnesses told troopers the semi-truck involved in the crash had a blue cab and a white trailer, Harding said.
Troopers are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has dashcam video from around 4:37 a.m. in the area of Highway 99 near Highway 525 to call troopers at 425-923-6244.
