EVERETT — Snohomish County search and rescue members recovered the body of a 15-year-old boy from the Beckler River on Saturday.
At 11:30 a.m., a search and rescue team, along with volunteer Swiftwater Rescue Team members, found the teen’s body in the Beckler River, according to a press release.
The teen was reportedly intoxicated when he wandered away from his group around 3 a.m. while camping above the snowline, according to the release. Multiple search and rescue volunteers, Everett Mountain Rescue and the Helicopter Rescue Team assisted in the search.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death.
