TULALIP — A man police believe was killed Saturday has been identified.
Around 10:10 p.m. Saturday, police discovered Francisco Barraso-Ortega, 60, dead on Totem Beach Road on the Tulalip Reservation. Officers detained another man. The two men reportedly knew each other. Police believe there is no danger to the community.
On Sunday, police working with the FBI served a search warrant at the crime scene. What they found led them to believe the man died by homicide. The suspect was arrested for investigation of murder. The evidence they collected was not immediately made public.
The suspect was being held at the Snohomish County Jail on Tuesday.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Barraso-Ortega on Wednesday but did not release findings on cause and manner of death.
