BOTHELL — A teenager shot near Bothell earlier this month died Saturday, police said.
Around 3:40 a.m. on Aug. 12, three teen boys and a man were wounded in an “apparent gang-related shooting” in the parking lot of an apartment complex at 2005 185th Place SE, according to the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. Investigators believe multiple people fled the scene in a white car.
Arriving deputies found a boy, 16, and a man, 26, with multiple gunshot wounds, according to the sheriff’s office. They were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
About 20 minutes later, a 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were dropped off “by personal transportation” at Swedish’s Mill Creek campus with gunshot wounds, police said. They were transferred to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett. Police believed these two teens were the ones who fled the shooting scene.
On Saturday, the 16-year-old boy at Harborview died, according to the sheriff’s office. The three others have all been released.
Detectives were working with witnesses to investigate the shooting. Investigators believe there was a prior connection between “all involved parties.”
