U.S. Army promotes Kamiak grad to major

U.S. Army Maj. Nicole Abeyta was recently promoted to that rank from the rank of captain at a ceremony held at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Abeyta, formerly Schmitz, is a 2004 graduate of Kamiak High School and 2008 graduate of Washington State University. She lives in the Raleigh area with her family, including husband Capt. Adam Abeyta.
