Chat with veterans at upcoming Everett VFW events

The last month has been busy for VFW Post No. 2100 in Everett. Two big events were held that strengthened the post and partnered with the community to support veterans.

On June 24, the post elected a new slate of officers for the upcoming 2024–25 year. Dave Eckroth was re-elected commander to serve a second term. These are his new officers: Sr. Vice Commander Marc Gonick,Jr., Vice Commander Megan Cieplik, and Quartermaster Donald Wischmann

On the Fourth of July, the post marched in the Everett Fourth of July parade and held an Open House immediately following to provide services to veterans in the community and recruit new members.

These were the organizations who attended in support of our veterans: VFW Post 2100 Auxiliary, Operation Gratitude, Combat Veterans International Chapter 6, United States Volunteers, and Right at Home. We’d like to thank these organizations for their participation and continue support of our heroes.

The event provided great camaraderie and delicious homemade food, and good time was had by all.

Upcoming events:

Aug. 22-Sept. 2: Evergreen State Fair Recruiting Booth.

Sept. 6-8 Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival Information Booth

Sep. 29 VFW 125th Anniversary Ceremony (more to come)

Oct. 4 Snohomish County Stand Down
