Do punishments fit these two crimes?

You got to be joking with two stories on the same page of the Sept. 19 Herald. A former youth pastor sexually assaults a 15-year-old girl, and gets only 14 months in prison (“Former Arlington youth pastor sentenced to 14 months for child rape,” The Herald Sept. 19).

Same page, a man brings Molotov cocktails to a protest in Seattle, doesn’t even light them off and he gets more than three years in prison! Our laws are a joke. Am I wrong?
