I notice with ever-increasing frequency people driving with expired vehicle license tabs. Why don’t the authorities stop these folks and issue a citation for the loss of revenue to all affected agencies?
I pay close to a $1,000 per year for the right to drive on state highways. I do this with reluctance, however I obey the law. What I don’t like is others enjoying the same rights without paying their share to drive on safe highways and pay the people to maintain these roads.
It is not fair for some to pay and others to skate by. The old adage is if you enjoy the steak then pay for it. How many people would be caught driving without insurance or driver’s license? How many folks would the police catch who have warrants for their arrest? It is not only junker cars skating by, but upscale vehicles.
President Biden keeps whispering to pay your fair share.
