I noticed with sadness that The Herald has pulled its last remaining coin-operated news rack from the Boeing Everett plant a couple of weeks ago. I understand the necessity of having to stop delivering papers there if it is not making money. It infuriates me that the people here that get their news off Facebook and don’t seem to realize the value of journalism and the time and effort it takes to put these stories together.
I believe The Herald is a huge asset for the city and the area it covers and would be a big loss if it went out of existence, which I don’t want to contemplate. And even though I have a subscription to one of your competitors, I will continue to buy your daily editions from my local grocery store, as you cover the local area better than anyone else and your Opinion section is great. It is my hope that that The Herald survives and thrives.
