The Herald has disguised its support for BLM as news

A shame really. The Herald, our last regional newspaper, did a fairly good job for so many years of even news reporting keeping, for the most part, its editorial opinion off the front page. This changed last spring when, taking advantage of the covid crisis, the Black Lives Matter movement and its neo-Marxist allies made their move with a violent all-out assault on everything we used to call “American.” In support of BLM, the Herald’s afore-disciplined editorial opinion washed onto the front page like a smelly burst of uncontrolled diarrhea thinly (very) disguised as news. I needn’t cite examples of this because I believe that the Herald’s editors knew exactly what they were doing. And finally the paper has endorsed, without any apparent reservation or qualification, a presidential candidate who is obviously mentally impaired and corrupt as a Washington, D.C., sewer rat.
This is all a shame and, on the surface, is suicidal and makes no economic sense. Approximately one half of The Herald’s readership (maybe more considering the people that still read newspapers) is politically conservative and will probably vote for Donald Trump. All we asked is that The Herald’s editorial opinion stay on the opinion page. But it couldn’t even do that. I am truly sorry but, good bye.
