Why are we voting on meaningless advisory measures?

Regarding the recent editorial (“Remove unhelpful ‘advisory’ measures from ballots,” The Herald, Jan. 27): Every single time these are on the ballot, my husband and I would read through them trying to figure out what they actual meant, what the dollar amount actually represented and if voting maintain or repeal had any affect on anything!
So, yes, do remove “advisory” votes from the ballot!
