This week’s featured new home has three bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. It’s located on a level, one-acre lot in the Getchell Springs subdivision near Lake Stevens and was built by LangCo Inc.

The home is served by a septic system, propane and a private well. It has a three-car garage with a garage door opening and high-tech cabling and wiring for a security system.

The foyer in this two-story home has red oak flooring that’s accented with black walnut detailing. Leaded-glass, vertical windows flank the front door. To the immediate left are paned-glass French doors that open to a home office. The room has a hemlock chair railing, crown molding and a wood-wrapped window overlooking the front yard.

Across the hallway are formal living and dining rooms. The living room has a vaulted, cathedral-style ceiling and a propane fireplace trimmed with ceramic tile and framed by an intricate, white enamel surround.

Fluted pillars support an arched opening to the dining room. This room features formal wainscoting and an ornate chandelier that hangs from a soaring, double-coffered ceiling trimmed with two levels of crown molding.

A sprawling master suite sleeping area dominates the upstairs portion of the home. Three oversized windows provide a view of the back yard below. Completing the suite are separate walk-in closets, each with ventilated wire storage shelves on three walls.

The five-piece master bath has a double vanity topped with ceramic tile, a corner soaker tub beneath two corner windows, a private toilet space and a walk-in shower.
