This week’s featured new home has four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. The two-story home is located on a 1-acre lot at the 4 Barns Estates subdivision north of Stanwood.

The 2,649-square-foot home, which was built by Eagle Country Construction, has a side-entrance garage, a propane gas forced air furnace, a septic system, a two-party well, room for RV parking and a large shop.

A front door with a leaded glass window opens to a foyer that’s open to the second level. Features in the foyer include a clerestory window, a plant shelf, vertical windows flanking the door and a drop-down, pendant-style chandelier. Vinyl flooring covers the area and extends throughout the kitchen, informal eating area, hallway and powder room.

Clear glass French doors open to a home office situated to the left of the entry. The room has a 9-foot coffered ceiling, two vertical windows that overlook the front of the home, plush carpeting and radius corners.

On the opposite side is a formal dining room with an arched entrance, a coffered ceiling, space for a built-in hutch or buffet, an alabaster chandelier and windows facing the street.

A kitchen has an island, maple-paneled custom cabinets, laminate countertops and a ceramic tile backsplash. Other amenities include a stainless steel sink, a gas cooktop range, a built-in microwave and a pantry closet.

A large, informal eating area provides a buffer between the kitchen and family room.

Sliding glass doors open to an exposed aggregate patio and the back yard that extends into mature evergreens.

Also on the main floor are a family room, a powder room and the finished two-car garage. The powder room has a single vanity topped with laminate, matching vinyl flooring, a vertical mirror and a three-bulb strip light. The garage has two carriage house doors with privacy windows. One door is wired for an electric opener.

The family room has a corner gas fireplace with a built-in entertainment alcove above it. Natural light flows in from three oversized vertical windows and two privacy windows.

An L-shaped staircase ascends to the second floor that holds a bedroom suite with appointments that include a generous sleeping area augmented by a vaulted ceiling and two, square-shaped privacy windows. The suite has a five-piece bathroom and a walk-in wardrobe closet. Bathroom highlights include a double vanity topped with laminate, an extended mirror, matching vinyl flooring, a corner oval soaker tub placed beneath two large windows, a freestanding shower and a private toilet room with a privacy window.

The other bedrooms have oversized windows and standard closets with sliding doors. Also upstairs is a full bathroom, a laundry room and an extra-large bonus room that is positioned above the garage.
