A four-bedroom, 2.5-bath, Craftsman-style two-story in The Village at Thomas Lake development in south Everett is our featured new-construction home this week. It has 2,182 square-feet of living space and includes an open floor plan and oversized bedrooms.

The home’s foyer benefits from vertical and transom windows and maple flooring.

A short hall leads to the kitchen and a family room. A powder room with pedestal sink is located to the left, and access to a two-car garage is on the right.

The formal dining room is accessed via two arched openings. It is completed with plush carpeting and an oversized window with wood sill.

Features of the center-island kitchen include maple-paneled cabinets with crown molding and plant shelves, a breakfast bar, ceramic tile countertops and backsplash, recessed lighting, pantry closet and stainless steel appliances.

Nearby, an informal dining area has a sliding glass door that opens to a brushed-cement backyard patio.

Completing the main living floor is the spacious family room with a gas fireplace. The fireplace is trimmed with custom ceramic tile, with a wood surround and mantel.

An L-shaped staircase ascends upstairs to the home’s sleeping level, which is highlighted by a sprawling bedroom suite, three additional bedrooms, a second full bathroom and a laundry room.
