This week’s featured new construction is a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath, Craftsman-style two-story in the Larimer Crossing development near Snohomish. It’s the “Mayfield A” model home, which includes about $60,000 worth of added options. The model home itself is not for sale at this time, but is being featured here as representative of one particular floor plan available at Larimer Crossing.

Exterior features include cultured stone and stained cedar shingle accents, an architectural composition roof, exposed-aggregate drive and professional landscaping.

Main floor living space includes formal living and dining rooms, a kitchen with casual dining nook, a home office and a powder room. Upstairs, an extra-large bedroom suite with accompanying sitting room, three additional bedrooms, a full bathroom and a laundry room complete the home.

Yellow birch flooring covers the entry and extends throughout the main floor. Slate stone insets complement the hardwood in the dining room.

Paned glass French doors enclose the home office, which is positioned near a powder room completed with pedestal sink.

The dining room is left open to both the hall and living room. It includes radius corners, a nine-foot ceiling, oil-rubbed bronze chandelier, and a large window facing a side yard.

Kitchen highlights include slab granite countertops with ceramic tile backsplash ascending to the paneled cabinets with crown molding, a two-tiered breakfast bar with two-compartment stainless steel sink on the lower level, a pantry closet, drop-down and recessed lighting, and stainless steel appliances.

The nook has a sliding glass door that opens to an expansive, exposed-aggregate patio and a back yard that adjoins a Native Growth Protection Area.

Formal living room highlights include a gas fireplace with slate stone border and wood mantel, and a built-in speaker system in the ceiling.

On the upper level, two bedrooms face the street and provide territorial views. Both are generously-proportioned and have plush carpeting, radius corners and paneled sliding doors. The third bedroom is slightly smaller and faces a side yard.

The spacious bedroom suite’s sleeping area and its separate sitting room are enhanced by coffered ceilings.

A spa-like, five-piece bathroom and walk-in wardrobe closet complete the bedroom suite. Bathroom amenities include 18-inch ceramic tile flooring, a triangular-shaped soaker tub with tile deck and surround beneath a private transom window, a freestanding shower with tile surround and clear glass enclosure, and a double vanity topped with ceramic tile.
