This week’s featured new construction is a two-bedroom, two-bath unit in the Shelbourne condominiums near downtown Edmonds.

Shelbourne is entered via an inviting courtyard with beautiful landscaping. Located on the third floor and accessed via elevator or stairs, our 1,560 square-feet featured unit has a one-story floor plan (no stairs) and includes magnificent views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound to the west. It also has an in-floor radiant heating system and a tankless hot water system.

Cherry flooring covers the entry and extends into the kitchen. A hallway turns right and leads away from the main living area, and a utility room and full bathroom are positioned on opposite sides. Laundry room features include a ceramic tile floor, cherry paneled overhead cabinets, and a built-in laundry tub encased in a laminate countertop.

Among the bathroom highlights are a single vanity topped with slab granite, tiled backsplash and flooring, and a shower/tub combination with tile surround and brick-style tile accents.

A clear glass French door swings open to the home office, which is completed with a wood-wrapped window, Craftsman-style millwork, radius corners and frieze carpeting.

The spare bedroom is located at the end of the hall. It has a nine-foot ceiling and pull-out paneled doors enclosing the wardrobe closet. Other features include two wood-wrapped windows, and phone/cable jacks.

Kitchen highlights include slab granite countertops, a ceramic tile backsplash, cherry paneled cabinets with crown molding, cherry flooring and stainless steel appliances.

A partial wall defines the kitchen from the formal living and dining rooms just beyond. The living room has a soaring cathedral ceiling and windows framing the million-dollar view. Other amenities include a gas fireplace trimmed with a tile hearth and border and framed with a wood surround and mantel. A French door opens to a covered balcony-style deck with pine soffit.

The dining room includes two large view windows that also face the view.

In the bedroom suite, pocket doors seal off the walk-in closet and the bathroom. The bathroom has a double vanity with marble top, ceramic tile flooring, a soaker tub encased in a tile, and a freestanding shower with floor-to-ceiling tile.
