Explore the beautiful landscape and immerse yourself in the arts, culture and history surrounding Snohomish County while enjoying an abundance of year-round activities.
“Snohomish County is a truly special area because it combines both distinctive cultural attractions and abundant outdoor recreation – which residents enjoy regularly and visitors can access easily from Seattle,” Julie Gangler, media consultant for the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, said.
Snohomish County is the perfect place to take a weekend hike on 100 miles of trails, explore waterfalls, ski the Cascades or enjoy water activities on Puget Sound and the surrounding rivers and lakes.
Adventure seekers will enjoy rock climbing, skydiving, scuba diving and hot-air balloon rides.
The arts are celebrated throughout Snohomish County. A visit to Everett offers access to many art galleries, with numerous art and music festivals held throughout the year.
Culture and history are also an important part of Snohomish County. The Tulalip Tribes’ Hibulb Cultural Center opened in 2011 to preserve the history of the Native American Tulalip Tribes.
The Western Heritage Center in Monroe is a living history museum of the area’s early mining, logging, agriculture and railroad industries.
Whether you want to take outdoor excursions or explore arts and culture, Snohomish County really does have something for everyone to enjoy.
