Everett Rowing Association sending two boats to nationals

Everett’s men’s youth 8+ and women’s U17 4+ are headed to the USRowing Youth National Championships.

EVERETT — The Everett Rowing Association is sending two boats to this week’s USRowing Youth National Championships.

Everett’s men’s youth 8+ and women’s U17 4+ boats both qualified for nationals based on their performance at the USRowing Northwest Youth Championships, held May 17-19 in Vancouver, Washington.

The men’s youth 8+ qualified by placing third at regionals. The boat consists of Sean Storseth, Nolan Callahan, Cody Carpenter, Jack Schei, Ben Ewer, Carter Barrett, Jacob Lindley, Ethan Holden and Payton Wold (cox).

The women’s U17 4+ qualified by winning by open water at regionals. The boat consists of Savanna Velasquez, Kiera Dickson, Josie Roberts, Claire Hoeppener and Madigan Gaffney (cox).

Nationals take place Thursday through Sunday in Sarasota, Florida.
