SEATTLE — All-American defensive lineman Vita Vea is skipping his senior season at the University of Washington to enter the NFL draft.
Vea made the announcement Monday on Instagram.
“As a I begin the next chapter of my football career, I will never forget where it all began,” Vea wrote. “The University of Washington is a special place.”
Vea had 44 tackles, including 3.5 sacks, in 13 games this season. He was the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year and a third-team All-America selection by the Associated Press.
