Here are the Snohomish County natives who will be participating in the NCAA Division I men’s and women’s basketball tournaments, which begin this week:


Corey Kispert

High school: King’s

College: Gonzaga

Seed: No. 1 in the West Region

First-round opponent: Winner between Prairie View and Farleigh Dickinson from Tuesday’s play-in game

Game information: 4:15 p.m. PDT on Friday in Salt Lake City


Mikayla Pivec

High school: Lynnwood

College: Oregon State

Seed: No. 4 in the Albany Region

First-round opponent: No. 13 Boise State

Game information: Approximately 2:30 p.m. PDT on Saturday in Corvallis, Oregon

Paisley Johnson

High school: Glacier Peak

College: BYU

Seed: No. 7 in the Chicago Region

First-round opponent: No. 10 Auburn

Game information: 12:30 p.m. PDT on Saturday in Stanford, California

Sidney Rielly

High school: Everett

College: Portland State

Seed: No. 15 in the Portland Region

First-round opponent: No. 2 Oregon

Game information: Approximately 6 p.m. PDT on Friday in Eugene, Oregon
