Winner to state, loser out

Kennedy Catholic 50, Kamiak 8

BURIEN — Ninteenth-seeded Kamiak fell to No. 4 Kennedy Catholic in a Week 10 playoff game on Saturday.

Kamiak finished its season with a 3-7 overall record. Kennedy Catholic improved to 9-1 and advanced to the state tournament.

1B WEEK 10 PLAYOFFS

Winner to state, loser out

Mossyrock 56, Darrington 6

MOSSYROCK — Darrington’s season ended with a loss to Mossyrock in a Week 10 playoff game.

Darrington finished 6-4 overall on the season. Mossyrock improved to 9-0 and advanced to the state tournament.

Naselle 68, Tulalip Heritage 0

NASELLE — Tulalip Hertiage’s season ended with a loss to Naselle in a Week 10 playoff game.

Tulalip Heritage finished 0-5 overall on the season. Naselle improved to 7-2 and advanced to the state tournament.

4A DISTRICT 1/2 TOURNAMENT

Consolation bracket (winner to state, loser out)

Eastlake 4, Glacier Peak 0

SNOHOMISH — Second-seeded Glacier Peak lost to No. 9 Eastlake in a consolation winner-to-state, loser-out game of the 4A District 1/2 Tournament.

Glacier Peak finished with an 8-4-2 overall record.

Eastlake advanced to the state tournament having eliminated three Wesco 4A teams — Glacier Peak, Jackson and Kamiak — in the bi-district tournament.

3A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

Championship (both to state)

Shorecrest 2, Shorewood 0

SHORELINE — Nora Patterson had a goal and an assist, Emma Orthel added a goal, and Tati Zahajko had three saves and a shutout in goal as Shorecrest blanked rival Shorewood to capture the 3A District 1 championship.

Both teams will advance to the state tournament, with matchups and seeding set to be announced on Sunday.

Consolation bracket (winner to state, loser out)

Monroe 2, Oak Harbor 1

SHORELINE — Sixth-seeded Monroe clinched a state berth with a close win over No. 4 Oak Harbor in a loser-out game of the 3A District 1 Tournament.

The Bearcats will be back in the state tournament for the first time since 2009.

2A DISTRICT 1 TOURNAMENT

Consolation bracket (winner to state, loser out)

Sehome 2, Archbishop Murphy 1

BELLINGHAM — Top-seeded Archbishop Murphy fell to Sehome in a consolation winner-to-state, loser-out game in the 2A District 1 Tournament.

Archbishop Murphy, the defending 2A state champion, finished its season with a 14-4-1 overall record.
