SHORELINE — Bria Metcalf-Lindenburger headed in the winning goal in overtime on a cross from Taylor Christensen as Shorecrest earned a thrilling win in an early season matchup of Wesco 3A/2A contenders.

Metcalf-Lindenburger also scored the first goal of the match in the seventh minute on a header off a free kick taken by Tayvi Khan as Shorecrest (4-0-0, 3-0-0 Wesco 3A/2A) took the early lead.

Chloe McCoy evened the score at 1-1 in the 20th minute for Archbishop Murphy (4-1-0, 3-1-0), which suffered its first loss of the season.

ARLINGTON — Arlington and Snohomish played to a draw in the league match.

Izzy Berhman scored on an assist from Grace Davis for Arlington (2-2-1, 2-2-1 Wesco 3A/2A).

Emery Post scored for Snohomish (3-0-2, 2-0-2).

MARYSVILLE — Natalie Cardin had a goal and an assist, and Jordyn Stokes earned the shutout in goal to lead Mountlake Terrace to a league win.

Olivia Gonzales added six aces and four digs for Lake Stevens (2-2).

BOTHELL — Hannah Johnson had eight kills and five blocks, and Sammy Holmer added eight kills, six digs, two blocks and one ace as Lynnwood stayed perfect on the season with a 25-12, 25-22, 25-18 non-league win.

Makena Kaleo had nine kills and two blocks, and Charlie Thomas chipped in 26 assists, four kills, 10 digs and one ace for Lynnwood (3-0), which was tied for the No. 3 ranking in Class 3A in the initial Washington State Volleyball Coaches Association Poll of the season.
