Report: Seahawks to sign QB Nate Davis

The Seahawks will sign QB Nate Davis off the 49ers practice squad pending a physical, reports Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com.
Davis, a fifth-round pick out of Ball State in 2009, has spent this season on San Francisco’s practice squad. He has appeared in six preseason games, completing 52 of 93 pass attempts for 615 yards, 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. He has not appeared in a regular-season game.
No move has been announced yet by the team, and Maiocco’s report doesn’t specify if Davis is joining the Seahawks active roster or their practice squad.
The Seahawks’ interest in Davis isn’t all together surprising considering that Scot McCloughan, the team’s senior personnel executive, was the 49ers general manager when the team drafted Davis.
