Here are the inactives for Sunday’s game between the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium:
SEATTLE
Inactive: S Shalom Luani, RB Mike Davis, LB K.J. Wright, DT Poona Ford, G Jordan Simmons, G D.J. Fluker, DT Nazair Jones.
Notes: The biggest news for Seattle is that All-Pro free safety Earl Thomas is active after ending his holdout this week, meaning he didn’t require much time to get back up to speed. Also active is defensive end Dion Jordan, who spent the entire preseason on the physically-unable-to-perform list. Wright (knee) and Fluker (hamstring) are first teamers who had already been ruled out. Prodigal son J.R. Sweezy will take Fluker’s place at right guard, while the incredible story of one-handed rookie Shaquem Griffin gets another chapter as he’ll start in place of Wright at weak-side linebacker. First-string cornerback Dontae Johnson (groin) was placed on injured reserve this week, with rookie Tre Flowers expected to draw the start on the right. Jones, a key part of the defensive-tackle rotation, was not listed on the injury report, so he’s a surprise inactive.
DENVER
Inactive: QB Kevin Hogan, WR Isaiah McKenzie, CB Isaac Yiadom, LB Alexander Johnson, DE DeMarcus Walker, T Elijah Wilkinson, G Sam Jones.
Notes: Denver had no players listed on the injury report, so the Broncos are at full strength.
