SEATTLE (4-2)
Inactive: RB C.J. Prosise, S Tedric Thompson, G Jordan Roos, G Luke Joeckel, T Isaiah Battle, DT Garrison Smith, DE Quinton Jefferson.
Notes: The most significant news for the Seahawks is that starting center Justin Britt, who was considered a game-time decision because of an ankle injury, is active and will play. That means rookie Ethan Pocic will start at left guard rather than center. Cornerback Jeremy Lane returns from the groin injury that kept him out the previous two games, though he lost his starting spot to rookie Shaquill Griffin while he was out. This will also be the Seattle debut for defensive end and seven-time Pro Bowler Dwight Freeney, who was signed earlier this week. Joeckel (knee), the usual starter at left guard, and Prosise (ankle) sit this one out because of injuries..
HOUSTON (3-3)
Inactive: LB Jelani Jenkins, LB Dylan Cole, G Kyle Fuller, G Dorian Johnson, T Chris Clark, DE Joel Heath, DE Kendall Langford.
Notes: There’s big changes at left tackle for the Texans. Houston is without Clark, who’s been starting, because of a calf injury. But the Texans also got three-time Pro Bowler Duane Brown back from his holdout this week, and he’s expected to return to his usual spot at left tackle. Heath (knee) is the other Texans starter who’s out injured this week, while reserve Jenkins (hand) also misses out. And, of course, Houston is without defensive end and three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt, who’s done for the season because of a broken leg.
