PORTLAND, Ore. — Gabe Klassen scored with under a minute to go in overtime as the Portland Winterhawks rallied from a two-goal deficit heading into the final period to beat the Everett Silvertips 4-3 on Tuesday night.
Niko Huuhtanen, Michal Gut and Jackson Berezowski all scored in the second period as the Silvertips headed into the final frame with a 3-1 lead.
But goals from the Winterhawks’ James Stefan and Jaydon Dureau in the final period evened the game and forced overtime.
Braden Holt stopped 35 of 39 shots for Everett (19-5-2-1).
Dante Giannuzzi stopped 27 of 30 shots for Portland (12-10-3-1).
